The Test Engineer collaborates with engineering to deploy and maintain vendor software and tools. This individual builds and maintains tools for deployment and monitoring of automated test applications.

Position Responsibilities:

* Develop, improve, and maintain custom Sechan test software or test applications.

* Serve as a primary resource for engineers developing automated test software.

* Provide software troubleshooting support for the production floor when needed.

* Maintain existing Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools and assist engineers in the use of SCM tools.

* Support development of unified test data storage across multiple test environments.

* Support development of test data retrieval from SQL database and format retrieved data to accommodate various user needs.

* Read and understand vendor documentation to create new instrument device drivers for automated testing.

* Administer user logins for engineering resources.

* Create process documentation when required.

* Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Skills & Abilities:

* Ability to read basic electrical schematics to support development of automated test software.

* Ability to work independently, a 'self-starter' that does not require close supervision.

* Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt quickly to priority changes as needed.

* Possess good organizational and communication skills in order to work within and between integrated teams.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 1+ year of experience.

* Programming experience in C, C++, or Visual Basic.

* Working knowledge of a scripting language such as python.

* Experience with automated test software.

* Experience using test instruments such as oscilloscope, function generator, power supply, frequency counter, and multimeter.

* Experience with a SCM system such as Git, TFS, or Perforce.

* Experience with SQL a plus.

* Ability to obtain a government security clearance within the first 90 days.

Work Environment:

* Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day, lifting 30 lbs, and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Hours: 7:00 AM - 5 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 7:00 AM - 4 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.

* 9/80 work schedule.

* Occasional travel may be required.

* Office located in Lititz or Lancaster, PA facility with periodic visit to other facility.
