SUMMARY Through this person, non-bank investment solutions are offered to meet the long-term investment needs of customers within the bank's market area. Investment solutions will include trust, insurance, mutual funds, fixed and variable annuities, as well as individual securities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in field relating to investments and/or equivalent job experience with the ability to pass required examinations; previous experience of 2 or more years of investment sales. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES Excellent communications skills are vital to this position. This individual will be self-motivated to make numerous contacts, primarily through use of the telephone and referrals from existing customers. Direct mail, seminars and advertising may be used to compliment direct contacts. This person must be able to work effectively within the requirements of all entities that regulate the activities of investment sales. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing, and to speak effectively to groups. Ability to read and correctly interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedure that relate to investments. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate and communicate interest and gains on investments, commissions, discounts, percentages, and penalties. Must know or quickly learn to communicate through a variety of media, including formal presentations and graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to offer a variety of investment strategies designed to meet the expressed needs of investors and adapt to the unique desires of individuals. LICENSES Need to have series 7 and 66 securities license and State of Montana Life, Disability, and Variable Contracts Insurance licenses. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
