Supply Project Lead

This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
* Lead and partner in strategic projects focused on direct commodities across our global locations. Align with the global and local commodity teams to select suppliers and leverage negotiated agreements.
* Support cost management initiatives focusing on cost reduction, working capital, on-time delivery and quality.
* Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new suppliers. Interact with customers and internal partners to ensure that all requirements are being met.
* Designs and develops specific supply chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage and to improve responsiveness to customer demand.
YOU HAVE:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree is required.
* 3+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement, or Operations preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Project management skills to develop plans with action steps and timetables, meet deadlines, coordinate cross functional teams, and handle multiple priorities.
* Demonstrated strong negotiation skills to effectively meet and exceed business objectives.
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances; must be able to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
* Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships at all levels both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, etc.)
* Ability to travel 10% - 30%, both domestic and international travel.
