Description and Requirements

The Software Product Management team works very closely with Engineering and Design teams to develop new products and customize products to suit local carrier and market needs. The product manager will work with regional sales teams and global colleagues to make sure the products have the right hardware and software enablers and features. The product manager will also be the main point of contact to provide technical support to internal teams and customers, for questions related to the North America channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage entry/mainstream products or core SW experience independently with business performance accountability (volume, revenue, profit, NPS etc.). Is the major contributor to the product line. Has own insights and thinking on product planning.

  • Proactively track customer demand changes, market dynamics and technology trends, able to propose product development direction and strategies to drive business growth and win over competition

  • Leverage customer feedback to make further improvement on process and product

  • Lead the product team to produce the deliverables. Consistently advocates for and influences customer and/or partner decision making. Also is a team lead by allocating work and addressing day-to-day issues, seeking / providing resources or technical expertise

  • Lead cross functional teams, segment, and/or corporate collaboration to achieve business objectives

  • Provide compelling arguments to counter skepticism or resistance about the product. Creates open and effective communication channels that help align multiple feature areas within the product.

  • Translate concepts among different audiences (customers vs internals; engineering vs sales; higher level vs lower level roles.

  • Lead cross teams/ segment/ corporate on process and product improvement plan design and execution

  • Break complex problems into parts that can be addressed to different individuals or teams, and align them to work together towards a solution

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or computer science
  • 8+ years experience in engineering, product management, project management, business development
  • 2+ years of experience with Android/Mobile Software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA or equivalent is preferred.

  • Experience in working with carriers, regional, regulatory requirements

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to efficiently communicate to senior executives both internally and externally.

  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.
