Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Deltek, you will leverage your understanding of the products and markets you support to enable the company to sell better and faster. You will need to quickly become an expert in our project-based solutions for professional services companies, the markets we serve, the customers and our competition, and be able to translate this knowledge to develop go-to-market strategies and positioning to help grow market share. You will be involved in all aspects of product marketing, including conducting market research, creating messaging and positioning, creating go-to-market strategies, becoming well-versed in the competitive landscape, evangelizing your products, driving marketing plans, partnering with internal and external stakeholders and delivering impactful narratives for sales enablement.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with product management, demand generation, sales, customer success, partners and customers. This role will support the market strategy and positioning for products in the architecture, engineering and construction industry and will report to the Director of Product Marketing for Professional Services.

You will need to quickly become an expert on our solutions, the market, our customers, our competition, and be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our products to the marketplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement go-to-market strategies for our product portfolio, including new product launches and releases
  • Develop and implement unique positioning, buyer personas and messaging that clearly differentiates Deltek and our products in the marketplace
  • Conduct deep dives into customer interviews, adoption data, and customer information to develop insights on messaging, positioning, and pricing, as well as customer success stories that resonate with the target market
  • Evangelize for Deltek and our solutions in the AEC industry through thought leadership and industry knowledge at conferences and events by delivering presentations
  • Serve as a product evangelist by developing and giving presentations that clearly articulate product value props and differentiators within the context of a cohesive story applicable to the industry
  • Confidently create and present enablement to prospect- and customer-facing teams to ensure proper messaging and utilization of materials
  • Continually experiment and iterate to increase adoption and understand the voice of the customer
  • Manage product messaging and content creation including web site content, ebooks, videos, customer success stories, blogs and other sales support materials to align messaging and positioning across media platforms
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in sales, marketing and product management on priorities and initiatives that need product marketing team support
  • Collaborate with product marketing team members to develop best practices and tools that maintain consistency across all solutions
  • Communicate the value proposition of Deltek products to the market and be a key evangelist for the solutions

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field or equivalent work or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably B2B applications in the cloud
  • Very strong professional writing and communication skills with experience in differentiated messaging, storytelling and overall content such as blogs, marketing collateral, etc.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills with desire to present to internal and external audiences
  • Team player attitude and highly motivated, self-starter
  • Solid organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize effectively
  • Analytical and inquisitive nature, with excellent attention to detail
  • Desire to continue to learn and develop skills as a product marketer
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization (with product management, corporate and demand marketing, and sales) with positive influence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key customers, prospects and business partners, sales, customer support and development
  • Understand how to leverage GenAI tools to gain efficiency in everyday product marketing tasks

Candidates must be willing to provide samples of their work product (such as marketing collateral, presentations or webcasts). Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite needed (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

Other desired experience includes:
  • Product knowledge of SaaS business applications and ability to demo.
  • Knowledge of the architecture, engineering and construction industry is a plus.
  • Clear understanding of small business needs and messaging to differentiate Deltek's solutions.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $98000.00 - $171500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
