Join Our Team as a Dynamic Human Resources Generalist!

EBAD is seeking a proactive and driven Human Resources Generalist with a passion for action to join our team in Simsbury, CT. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, this role is pivotal in shaping our employee experience and driving our business forward. You'll be a key player in a manufacturing environment that balances high performance with real people-first leadership.

About the Role:

As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in both tactical and strategic HR functions, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and performance management. You will collaborate closely with the HR Manager to align HR initiatives with our business strategy and achieve key performance indicators. You'll own employee relations, support operational goals, and keep the culture strong and aligned. This isn't a reactive HR admin role. It's proactive, strategic, and deeply connected to the heart of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership: Manage a client group of individual contributors and front-line managers, providing comprehensive HR partnership. Be a trusted partner for our employees and a proactive collaborator for our managers.
  • Talent Acquisition: Participate in interviews to ensure we attract top talent aligned with our Core Values. Provide coaching to address misalignment.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Assist hiring managers in delivering a thoughtful and seamless onboarding experience. Encourage cross-functional learning and communication.
  • Performance Management: Support front-line managers in developing top talent and addressing underperformance. Advocate for recognition of top talent and ensure managers hold underperformers accountable.
  • Engagement Support:Help teams implement meaningful action plans based on the annual employee survey. Ensure employee voices are heard and managers feel supported - drive meaningful change.
  • Development Planning: Coach employees to build robust development plans and conduct development planning workshops.Challenge employees and managers to drive intentional development actions.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee relations issues through corrective action, performance improvement plans, or misconduct investigations. Lead with empathy while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Graduate Program Management: Oversee the new graduate rotational program for engineers to maximize onboarding, career development, and overall performance.
  • University Relations: Manage university relations, including the summer intern program and fall recruiting. Encourage managers to view this program as a talent pipeline.
  • Proactive Retention: Conduct stay interviews and leverage feedback to drive proactive retention efforts. Maintain strong relationships to obtain transparent feedback.
  • Health and Wellness: Encourage employees to take advantage of employer-owned resources such as the EAP and other benefit offerings.Guide employees through the leave of absence process and ensure alignment with payroll.
  • Exit Process: Facilitate terminations and conduct exit interviews. Leverage your findings to drive sustainable corrective action.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Special Projects: Lead and support special HR projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3+ years in a progressive HR role with a focus on employee relations.
  • Demonstrates proactive ability to provide informed feedback and coaching.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Aerospace and/or electronics industry is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interactive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated maturity and integrity in handling confidential information.
