Short Description

  • Standard workflow of all Clinical Review Patient Work Queues
  • Scheduling and management of physician peer to peer process
  • Processing of daily insurance information logs
  • Manage onbase for incoming fax communications
  • Accessing and managing insurance portals: Navinet, Availity, PEAR, etc
  • Trouble shoot delays in processing of insurance information for authorization, ensuring clinical reviews processed timely
  • Follow up on determinations on all inpatient hospitalizations
  • Management of late/untimely denials
  • Collaboration with HCA team to ensure accurate insurance verification and timely notice of admissions
  • Management of daily discharge communication to contracted insurers
  • Delivery of Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice, NJ OBS Form, and Cooper Code 44 forms
  • Management of Livanta Discharge Appeal process
  • Accurate EPIC Case Management Module data input, staff Epic training, and identification of process improvements.
  • Maintain and update department lists, grids, educational materials, and shared drive
  • Field incoming calls for the Care Management department and direct to appropriate staff member
  • Additional Administrative duties for the department as assigned: AMION, Kronos, Payer Comm Updates
  • Ordering of departmental supplies, such as: Business cards/lab coats, Konica/Staples office supplies, etc
  • Management of Letters of agreement, and departmental invoices as assigned

Experience Required

  • 2+ years office experience preferred
  • Previous experience with EPIC, Outlook, and Excel preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with insurance company authorizations and utilization review processes preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Experience with Kronos and/or completing staff schedules/assignments.
  • Experience developing training tools.
  • Experience with insurance portals: Navinet, Availity, Optum, PEAR
