Our engineers participate in projects from beginning to end, including planning, design, and construction. Applied Technologies offers autonomous work experience with a variety of projects, limited travel, and a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, client specifications, and within cost constraints
  • Develop electrical and controls construction specifications and drawings
  • Reads control diagrams and schematics
  • Evaluate and select equipment and components for electrical and controls systems
  • Conducts appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects
  • Adhere to project deadlines and budgets, communicating any variances to the Project Manager
  • Verify that installations and applications are in conformance with construction documents and safety standards
  • Assist with the creation of proposals to gain new projects
  • Actively participate in industry events to bolster organization recognition
  • Obtain/ maintain certifications necessary for the role



Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 4-5 years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Proven ability to design safe and efficient electric power and controls systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA-70)
  • Solid analytical skills, including knowledge of engineering economic analysis
  • Professional Engineering license, or willingness to obtain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, a plus
