Associate Legislative Analyst, Bloomberg Government

Bloomberg Government is seeking a legislative analyst who can quickly and comprehensively digest federal bills and policy issues, write about them clearly and concisely, and speak about them authoritatively. We're looking for a detail-oriented writer who can comb through legislation and research covering multiple subject areas to turn complex ideas into easy-to-read content, including bill summaries, slide decks, and more. Officials and government affairs professionals will use your analysis as they write laws and influence congressional and administration action. You'll contribute to our broader newsroom coverage of high-profile issues in the 119th Congress.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze and report on the impact of various regulatory and policy changes on stakeholders. .

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to enhance forecasts and develop technology-driven tools and workflows.

  • Create, edit, and update content for various platforms, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

  • Participate in the full business development lifecycle, including market analysis and proposal development.

  • Develop and present slide decks for various formats, including publications and events.

  • Work closely with other analysts and teams to foster productive relationships and communicate initiatives.

You Need To Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, political science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 0-2 years of experience as an analyst, editor, reporter, or consultant.

  • Ability to understand and contextualize complex details to publish readable, concise, and insightful analytical content.

  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently, plan, organize, set priorities, and advance multiple projects simultaneously.
