We are searching for a talented CT Technologist

*$8,000 New Hire Sign-On Bonus for Registered CT at time of hire. Re-hires termed more than 1 year also eligible.*

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs

Shift: Evening shift, primarily 3:00pm - 11:30pm and 11:00pm -7:30am with occasional day shifts with weekend, holiday and on call rotation

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Responsible for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patients chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures.



Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy and attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility and post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT).
  • Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs or CNMTs within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA or RI.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • RT Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
