At Lenovo, we are committed to leading the industry in below-OS security for PCs and smart devices. As a global leader in technology, we are seeking a dedicated Product Manager of Platform Security to drive innovation and enhance our security posture within the Commercial (Enterprise) business.

Role Overview

The Product Manager of Platform Security will play a pivotal role in shaping the below-OS security landscape for our products. This role involves leading efforts to strengthen our products against emerging threats and vulnerabilities. You will leverage your expertise in BIOS, firmware (FW), and hardware security to collaborate with R&D and development teams, translating customer, market, and industry requirements into actionable strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Drive below-OS security innovation, focusing on management, orchestration, and security to open new areas of business and capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and development teams to align on customer, market, and industry requirements, creating actionable roadmaps and requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market and competitor analysis, and define business cases to support product development and market positioning.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, and sales teams to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into product strategies.
  • Documentation: Develop and document product roadmaps, business justifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and market pricing projections.
  • Innovation: Rapidly bring new capabilities to market, working with teams to innovate and create marketable offerings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, and development focused on hardware platforms.
  • Proven experience in meeting with customers, partners, and sales teams to gather and understand their requirements.
  • Experience in drafting market and product requirement documents.
  • Strong background in industry and competitor analysis.
  • Ability to define business cases and market pricing projections.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Strong understanding of BIOS, firmware, and PC hardware (4+ years).
  • Well-versed in NIST hardware requirements and standards.
  • Familiarity with TCG (Trusted Computing Group) specifications.
  • Ability to work effectively with a globally dispersed development team.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Proven ability to develop and document product roadmaps, business justifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills with stakeholders, including engineering and product teams.
Additional Information: This role requires working with global teams across several time zones, attending morning and evening meetings is the norm. Candidates living in ET time zone is preferred.
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $130 - $150K. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions.
